In addition to the therapeutic work she does with clients, Ms. Slobodin enjoys training other mental health professionals through individual and group supervision, continuing education workshops and training seminars. She has been a presenter at the NASW-NJ Annual Conference in Atlantic City, NJ and has given numerous in-house training seminars for local service agencies and professional organizations including Women Helping Women, Catholic Charities, Jewish Family Services, Mothers of Preschoolers and the NJ Lawyers Assistance Program.
For 8 years, Ms. Slobodin also wrote and published a newsletter by the name of Successful Living. It was a quarterly publication educating its readers about the various aspects of mental health and sustaining peace of mind through emotional well being. She frequently writes for a humorous self-help magazine called Going Bonkers. Presently, Ms Slobodin is in the process of completing her first book under the working title, Debunking the Top 10 Psychotherapy Myths. She is hoping this publication will help eliminate any misunderstanding the general public may have about talk therapy and encourage them to experience its transformative power first hand.
