People sometimes ask me how I can sit and listen to other people's problems all day long. My reply is always the same, I don't look at it that way at all! In every session, my focus is always on creating a safe atmosphere where my clients feel comfortable enough to express whatever feelings they're experiencing without the fear of reprimand or criticism. It's within that umbrella of trust that they report feeling truly heard and understood, some for the first time in their lives, and that's when I start to see things begin to change for the better in their lives.

Below are just a few examples of the positive impact therapy has had on some of my clients. I'd love to add your success story to the list.
"Chris has helped me bring laughter back into my life. That might not sound like such a big deal, but I've had a rough time of it these past 2 years and I forgot how good it feels to laugh. If you're feeling sad, or just burnt out by life, I'd highly recommend working with her." ~Lori B.
"My husband and I had been trying to have a baby for years. All of our friends and family members kept telling me to "think positively and relax" and it would "just happen", but their advice just made me feel worse. Talking with Chris helped me feel better. She helped me deal with all the painful feelings I was carrying around. She never once judged me and she always accepted me in whatever mood I came to her office in." ~Amy O.
"Before I started therapy I didn't know what to do with my anger. I was always frustrated and would blow up over the simplest thing. Chris helped me understand why I was acting that way and she helped me deal with my anger and express it in a more productive way." ~Todd
"I've always been a bit of a worry wart, but a few months ago my worrying turned into major anxiety and I decided to get some help. After only a few session with Chris, I started to feel calmer. Knowing that she was with me in my struggle has made a big difference." ~Carrie B
"After my 3rd miscarriage I fell into a deep depression. I didn't want to be around other people. Chris accepted my sadness and she let me grieve. She helped me through the hardest chapter of my life." ~Allison W.
"I always wanted to be a mom, but at 39 I wasn't married and figured it just wasn't going to happen for me. I started seeing Chris to grieve the loss of that dream, and one day she asked me why I hadn't asked her to help me get pregnant. I didn't have an answer for her, but she helped me do just that. Now I have a beautiful, healthy baby girl and am loving every minute of being a mom!" ~Theresa P.
"I really wanted to be in a relationship, but I wasn't good at dating. I'd get attached too quickly and would always get my heart broken. Chris helped me get over my fear and helped me find a wonderful woman. We recently got married and now she's helping me navigate married life." ~Dale M.
"I was looking for a therapist for a long time and was being picky because I'm also a therapist. I wanted someone who wasn't just going to use CBT on me or simply say, "umm-hmm". I'm really glad I kept looking and found Chris. She has helped me grow as a person and a therapist. I always leave my sessions with useful information that helps me view myself and the world in a new way." ~Colette K.
"My friends kept telling me to go talk with someone but I felt intimidated. I knew I was dating all the wrong guys and I was embarrassed by the idea of admitting that to someone, but one day I had enough and I called Chris and made an appointment. She didn't judge me, and she had some ideas as to what was driving my behavior. Now I'm working out my issues instead of reenacting them." ~Jenna M.
"I've always wanted to do something creative with my life, but I was trained to think and act responsibly. Chris helped me turn my hobby into a business. Along the way I met a really great guy, so I got love out of it too." ~Lisa W.
"As a pastor, I've provided a lot of counseling to others but I've never been good at taking care of my own needs. When my church went through a major split I was under a lot of stress and began having health problems. I tried working through it alone, and with prayer, but I really needed more. I had seen Chris talk at a conference and knew she had a gift for working with those who help others. She fit me in right away and helped me through a very difficult time. I'd highly recommend her!" ~Anonymous
"I just published my first book. I know if I hadn't started therapy, it would still be just an idea in my mind. Chris helped me fight through writer's block and overcome my fears of exposure. I'm so thankful to her for helping me to find my voice." ~Carol P.
"Deciding to work with Chris was one of the best professional investments I have made. Through our work together I gained confidence and was able to create a successful private practice. She also provided me with support and insight with challenging clients." ~NJ LCSW
